When I begin to paint, I close my eyes and feel the energy around me.   I respond intuitively to where I am physically, emotionally, and spiritually without overthinking. My sense of space and place in the universe expresses itself through colors.  Green and blue connects me with nature and acceptance, bringing me a sense of harmony and balance. My orange and yellows hues are light and powerful, expressing a sense of enthusiasm and optimism. The reds and purples express vitality and spontaneity. Sometimes, I react to the colors, light, smells and textures of a particular place in my memory, a deep emotion in reaction to life or other times to an imaginary realm.
