“My work develops intuitively, reacting first to the medium, color, form, texture, and mark making. In the earliest moments, I close my eyes and feel the energy of my intentions. When I open my eyes, the colors and forms move me. I respond to the surprises and questions that the work poses intuitively, instinctively, and often radically without overthinking--trying to BE in the moment without allowing self-consciousness to get in the way.”
